Unofficial Anime on DVD Forum Buzz

Sorry I had to take the feed down, the feed and the audio is taking too much bandwidth. I think I've left it up long enough, but not having recorded new audio for two years, I think it's time to let it go.

Open Request

I need someone to take over the show. Please write to animebuzz at gmail dot com if you are interested.

Older Request

If you can get intelligible recordings of interesting convention panelists be they voice actors, directors, representatives or the Japanese creators, please consider allowing me to feed them through my podcast feed.

For recordings not made yet, please be sure to get audible permission to record and post on the Internet.

This is the audio show where we discuss the highlights and news of the North American Anime and Manga industry, and the AnimeOnDVD.com's forums.

This is more or less an experimental extension of the old Anime on DVD Forum Buzz, with one of the old Forum Buzz participants as a co-host.

The opinions expressed here are solely those of the hosts, and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the AnimeOnDVD site's owner, moderators or posters. This podcast is not specifically authorized by the owner or operators of Animeondvd.com, except the hosts themselves.

Please refrain from streaming, please save a copy to your computer then play the copy on your computer or portable audio device. To save, right click your preferred bit rate and select "save", "save as" or "save link as".

The recommended download method is to use a podcast aggregator / reciever. This allows you to keep up with all the latest podcasts simply by adding the feed URL in the aggregator, then you can set the program to regularly check and automatically download the latest podcasts. Also, some podcast recievers can automatically write the latest to your MP3 player. I personally use iPodder, it is free and supports Windows, Macintosh and Linux, although the version for each platform is fairly different. iTunes 4.9 has been released with integrated podcast support, for Windows and Macintosh. There are other free reciever/ aggregator programs, I suggest trying a few out to see what you like.

Recorded in stereo!

64kbps, 19.1MB

A good recording this time. If anyone wants smaller files, let me know and I will post them.

It seems a bit scripted and dull in places, we'll try to improve it.

04 Unofficial AoD Forum Buzz, edition 4, mp3, stereo, appx. 25 minutes, May 22, 2005.

Recorded in stereo!

16kbps, 2.89MB
32kbps, 5.78MB

We are improving. It appears that the quality of the 16kbps encoding went down a bit, so I recommend the 32kbps encoding for this one. We lost a bit of audio at the end.

03 Unofficial AoD Forum Buzz Test, edition 3. May 15, 2005

FAILED

Audacity simply crashed about half hour into recording. The time was getting late, so we gave up and watched some anime.
